The adult worm of this type are rounded, white or pinkish-white, and a size of 10-35 cm.They have a direct lifecycle, wich means they don't need intermediate hosts.The female is laying an estimated 2 million eggs daily.This eggs are passed out with faeces.The eggs contaminate the soil, and in warm, moist conditions are able to develop to the an infective stage.Humans swallow them with fruits or vegetables that have been watered with water containing contaminated soil.They get to the intestine, where the eggs hatch into larvae, the larvae get to the blood stream or lymph vessels penetrating the wall of intestine.They grow and develop in the lungs, and afterwards they get to the throat,so they can be swallowed back to the intestine.At this stage they are ready to start producing new eggs.
